Protein powder, protein bars and supplements!

A new problem is emerging in gyms: the development and worsening of acne in users of whey protein supplements, This problem derived from cow’s milk. The most surprising findings of the research: The effect of whey protein on acne is more prominent in women and in people without a family history of acne. The researchers found that the increase in the number and severity of acne lesions was most pronounced during the first month of use of whey protein supplements. So, think backwards: Did you start having problems when you started drinking batches or eating protein bars that contain whey? PRO ADVICE: Avoid algae in your food and supplements, such as "verdiazules", seaweed, spirulina and chlorella. These powders contain many iodites, which are excreted through the sweat glands through the pores, turning the small grains into inflammatory lesions. Hemp and peanut protein powders are safe for acne. Avoid foods, vitamins, supplements, protein powders, protein bars, and sports drinks that contain iodides. Yodated salt, algae, fast foods and tablets of seaweed contain iodides. Look for vitamins and supplements that do not contain serum, soybeans, seaweed, spirulina, chlorella, carragenine, biotin, iodine or potassium iodides. Avoid the use of biotin supplements. Biotin acts by causing dead cells to accumulate, and while it provides the benefit of bright hair and strong nails, it also prevents pores from releasing excess skin cells that cause acne.

Our favorite supplement for skin, hair and nails that is safe against acne are collagen tablets. Products such as protein bars, supplements, and shakes can be severe acne triggers, as many of them contain serum, soybeans, mania, seaweed (spirulina, chlorella, seafood) and iodures. We recommend choosing egg white protein, hemp or peanut to build muscle and recover from exercise without aggravating your acne. You can still be a high-performance athlete, without affecting the skin.
